Orchards of Hampteau

In the past, Hampteau was renowned for its orchards and the numerous walnut trees they contained. The restoration of an old orchard, the creation of a new one, for educational purposes, and the planting of walnut trees will allow the natural environment of the village to be recreated. A study is currently being carried out to determine the local varieties that existed in the past (in particular apple trees). (Text source by Rsi de Hotton)
