Village of Grune

Grune is located on the summit of a hill and dominates the Wamme and Wassoie valleys. A boundary stone laid down in 1759 at the southern extremity of the village, not far from the highest point near the ?Fontaine au Stock? (563 m/1,847 ft.) marks the fringes of the woods of Nassogne, Freyr, Grune, Bande and Sainte-Gertrude (that's why five capital letters are engraved in the stone).
