Village of Hollogne

Hollogne is mainly constituted of farmhouses and limestone houses from the early 19th c. and shows some pretty half-timbered houses. The 'Rue du Petit Bois' offers a magnificent viewpoint over the first villages of the province of Namur. Hollogne is the only village of the council of Marche-en-Famenne not having his own church. Indeed Hollogne formerly depended on the parish of Waha and the church of St Martin, now disappeared. Hollogne has numerous old farms and an old hotel dating back to the 19th century which means that the village was an important crossing point. In the cemetery, you will find a 19th-century cemeterial chapel and along St Denis road, you will find a post dedicated to Saint Barbara.
