The GTA “La Transfamenne” route is designed for hiking.
This 57 km marked trail allows you to hike between Nassogne and La Roche-en-Ardenne, passing through Verdenne, Hotton, Werpin, Beffe, and Marcourt.

La Transfamenne is the perfect trail for those looking to discover the beauty of the Famenne region.

Bonus: the route is accessible by train!

A 126 km loop

The GTA routes “La Transfamenne” and “La Transardennaise” can be combined to create a 126 km loop, starting from Marche-en-Famenne station:

  • Arrival at Marche-en-Famenne station
  • Hike from Marche-en-Famenne to La Roche-en-Ardenne (Transfamenne)
  • Hike from La Roche-en-Ardenne to Nassogne (Transardennaise)
  • Hike from Nassogne to Marche-en-Famenne (Transfamenne)

La Transardennaise, will take you on an extraordinary journey across the Ardennes!
Considered one of the most beautiful hiking routes in Belgium, La Transardennaise takes you on a journey of exploration through authentic Ardennes forests, stunning valleys (the Lesse, Ourthe, and Semois), and the enchanting landscapes of Belgian Luxembourg.

On foot, by bike, by mountain bike, or by car!

If you prefer mountain biking, the unmarked route links Malmedy to Bouillon over 272 km.
If you want to explore La Transardennaise by bicycle, car, or motorbike, a 164 km route awaits you.

Whether on foot, by bike, by mountain bike, or by car, La Transardennaise takes you on a journey to discover the typically Ardennes landscapes and the wild, mysterious forest of Nassogne!

Important: It is not possible to bivouac along the route (no bivouac areas – wild camping is forbidden).
