RAVEL Foot and cycle paths in the Famenne-Ardennes

From Houyet > Jemelle (Rochefort)

ALONG THE 150 LINE

The unmistakable thread running through your cycling trip is the Lesse, the region’s emblematic river, which carved out our picturesque valleys and fairy-tale caves and will play hide-and-seek with you throughout your journey. In Hour, you will venture deep into the rock through a tunnel over 400 metres long… This tunnel offers a stable microclimate, making it an ideal hibernation and breeding site for several bat species. You will then discover the Collyre path in the state forest of Ciergnon, at the foot of the Royal Castle.

Along the way, you will come across numerous picnic and barbecue areas inviting you to enjoy a gourmet break, as well as many reminders of the RAVeL’s railway heritage. You will then arrive in Rochefort, a welcoming town where you can sample a wide range of local delicacies, including the world-famous Trappist beer (best enjoyed with Rochefort cheese, of course). Your getaway ends among woods and rocky landscapes as you reach Jemelle.
